Bose-Einstein condensation for interacting scalar fields in curved spacetime.
We consider the model of self-interacting complex scalar fields with a rigid gauge invariance under an arbitrary gauge group G. In order to analyze the phenomenon of Bose-Einstein condensation finite temperature and the possibility of a finite background charge is included. Different approaches to derive the relevant hightemperature behaviour of the theory are presented.
متن کاملVisualizing curved spacetime
I present a way to visualize the concept of curved spacetime. The result is a curved surface with local coordinate systems (Minkowski Systems) living on it, giving the local directions of space and time. Relative to these systems, special relativity holds. The method can be used to visualize gravitational time dilation, the horizon of black holes, and cosmological models. The idea underlying th...
متن کاملQuantum Fields in Curved Spacetime :
We brieey review the current status of the algebraic approach to quantum eld theory on globally hyperbolic spacetimes, both axiomatic { for general eld theories, and constructive { for a linear Klein-Gordon model. We recall the concept of F-locality, introduced in the latter context in BS Kay: Rev. and explain how it can be formulated at an axiomatic level for a general eld theory (as a conditi...
متن کاملBose-Einstein condensation for a self-interacting theory in curved spacetime
The effective action is derived for a self-interacting theory with a finite fixed O(2) charge at finite temperature in curved spacetime. We obtain the high temperature expansion of the effective action in the weak coupling limit. In the relativistic temperature, we discuss about the phase transition in a homogeneous spacetime. متن کاملFlatten a Curved Space by Kernel: From Einstein to Euclid
Einstein’s general theory of relativity fundamentally changed our view about the physical world. Different from Newton’s theory, Einstein’s space and time are not flat but can be warped by matter. For a curved space such as Einstein’s space, Euclidean geometry is no longer suitable, and Riemannian geometry is usually used instead. In parallel with physics, due to an explosion of data from all f...
